Rise and Shine Mr. Chef

So the Chef and I are on totally different sleep schedules. For obvious reasons I pass out unable to be woken from my slumber at 10 pm SHARP go to bed earlier and wake up at the crack of dawn, at an ungodly hour that no human should be forced to open their eyes to, ever sometime after 5 am. I have a typical job that requires me to work daytime hours. The Chef on the other hand works long hours from the afternoon until well into the night sometimes not crawling home until after midnight.

On our ONE day that we have together during the week the Chef usually tries to wake up a bit early so we have more time together. For him, early is around 10:30 am. For me early is around 7:30 am. Do you see the problem here?

Last weekend we had an extra day tacked on to it due to "Family Day". A made up holiday that our government gave to us because we are a bunch of cry babies that complained that we did not have a long weekend from January until April. And because I live in Ontario we were given a day in February. (I am not complaining, actually I am hoping that if we complain more we can finagle a few extra days throughout the year.)

So because of this "family day" the Chef and I had two (COUNT THEM.... TWO!) whole days together. This is how my Monday went.

6:18 am: Cats wake me up with no concern that I was up past my 10 pm bed time super late (11:20 PM!) the night before.

7:18 am: Finished coffee and reading a book.

8:45 am: Thought about going back to bed but didn't (big mistake)

9:30 am: The Chef should be getting up soon...ish. Went into the bedroom and poked around on the dresser trying to see if I could wake him up. No luck.

No pic of the Chef sleeping, instead enjoy a picture of Mini sleeping. Way cuter.

10:15 am: Accidentally bumped his feet at the end of the bed as I walked by for the third time to get something.

10:45 am: Gave the Chef a shove small nudge to encourage him to wake up.

11:00 am: Started "cleaning" in the other room stomping around making noise trying not to wake him up.

11:30 am: "OK, it's 11:30 am. Get the hell up, the day is almost over."
Chef: "Why didn't you wake me up earlier?"
